Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center operates and funds numerous programs focused on community health. It also supports independent and collaborative community health efforts with funding and in-kind services.

Downtown Health Plaza of Baptist Hospital
Health On-Call® (free 24-hour health information phone line)
Mother’s Day Offering (fund to assist needy patients at NCBH)
Physician’s Access Line / PAL® (24-hour physician-to-physician phone line)

- Community Care Center (free medical care center operated by Davie/Forsyth/Stokes Medical Society)
Community Care of North Carolina Behavioral Health Integration Project
Community Sponsorships (for events from organizations such as the American Heart and Stroke Association, the Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, March of Dimes, AIDS Care Services and Samaritan Ministries)
Crisis Control Pharmacy (NCBH funds a part-time pharmacist for this community service providing prescription medications to the needy.)
Early Childhood Partnership/SmartStart (statewide program focused on improving early childhood development)
Forsyth County Early Childhood Health Alliance (collaborative child services effort focused on children from birth to age 5)
Forsyth County Healthy Community Coalition (community health assessment and resource planning)
Forsyth County Infant Mortality Reduction Coalition (community advocacy partnership)
Forsyth County School Health Alliance (SHA) (school-based services including mental health, medical, nutritional and dental, provided at Mineral Springs Elementary and Middle Schools)

HealthCare Access, Inc. (initiative to equitably share the burden of indigent care in Forsyth County)

Partnership for Dental Health (promoting provider participation for Medicaid, N.C. Health Choice and needy dental patients)
Piedmont Regional Trauma System (cooperative hospital venture focused on continuous improvement of regional trauma care)
Primary Care-Children’s Mental Health Initiative (collaborative effort to improve pediatric mental health care needs, identification and access)
Resident Child Advocacy Program (community-focused child advocacy training for NCBH pediatric residents)
Safe Communities Coalition (multi-agency focus on injury prevention)
